Artist's Statement：

Bowerbirds are attracted to blue. The males search the landscape for anything blue and return it to the bush, building decorative bowers to attract a mate for the coming season. The males are iridescent blue; the females a subtle tapestry of greens. These days, the bowers often include plastic straws and blue bottle tops — a sign that we are, unfortunately, altering the natural world with our reliance on plastics.
